Tax
Incentives
Sycamore Crossing will work
with companies to structure a tax incentive program that will help companies
locating in the park to prosper. Here are several ways in which tax incentives
can be a part of your building project.
NO LOCAL CORPORATE
OR PERSONAL INCOME TAX
Sycamore Crossing is unique
in that it provides centralized sewer and water without imposing local
corporate or personal income taxes on businesses locating at the park.
This means that companies that locate in the park are not subject to local
income tax on their corporate earnings and employees. However, if the
employee lives in an incorporated area they are subject to those taxes.
THE ENTERPRISE ZONE
The Enterprise Zone (EZ) is
the single most important economic development incentive local government
can offer in Fairfield County. The program offers significant (50-75%)
property tax savings to non-retail companies on new investments in real
estate for up to 15 years. Projects in Sycamore Crossing are eligible
for this tax exemption. Fairfield County Department of Economic Development
is the manager of Enterprise Zone. The Sycamore Crossing staff will assist
eligible projects to access these attractive benefits.
TAX INCREMENT FINANCING
(TIFs) AND OTHER BUSINESS INCENTIVE PROGRAMS
The Sycamore Crossing staff
is very well versed in numerous tax incentive programs throughout Fairfield
County and the State of Ohio, including tax increment financing which
is used for the financing of public improvements. We will work with companies
to maximize their individual tax incentive package to ensure the highest
level of cost efficiency.
